Sunflowers are the state flower of Kansas city in America, and they’re also known to be the “standard” flower that’s given and received by couples during their third wedding anniversary. Because sunflowers turn to follow the sun, they signify warmth, joy and happiness. This makes them an excellent choice for a happy occasion such as a graduation.

A graduation is a once-in-a-lifetime event, so make sure you’re well-prepared with these following tips.
Plan in advance. At least a week before the graduation, check out the location and decide if you’ll be getting there via public transport, taxi, or your own car. If you’re driving, look up parking spaces so you’ll know exactly where to head to on the day itself.
Show up early. Buffer 30 to 45 minutes extra to get to the ceremony -- you might be held up by traffic, or get lost in a sprawling campus. Note that most universities will close their doors 15 minutes or so before the ceremony starts, and latecomers will not be admitted.
Bring your admission card or invite. You’ll typically have to present your admission card or invite in order to get access to the location in which the graduation ceremony is held.
Dress well. For women, opt for dresses or dress pants with close-toed shoes, for men, go for a shirt and tie. Dressing well is a sign of respect for all the graduates receiving their certifications; you’ll also want to make sure that you’re nicely attired, so that you can look good in the pictures that you’ll be taking with your loved one.
Children are generally not allowed. If you’d like to bring a younger sibling to your loved one’s graduation, they might have to wait outside while the ceremony takes place. For instance, NTU does not admit children below 6 years of age into the theatre where Convocation is held, and NUS says that children below the age of 10 will not be admitted into the Hall, even if they have an admission card.
